Workers’ compensation defense attorney George Woolverton hits a milestone. His career is more than just being a lawyer. By Lonce Lamonte - August 18, 2025 George Woolverton is now celebrating 30 years with his law firm of Stockwell, Harris, Woolverton and Fox. He is the firm’s president with nine offices California statewide. The “Stockwell firm” as it is often called, is a workers’ compensation defense firm, overall, and it also practices Employment and Labor Law, Civil Liability Defense, and Subrogation. The name Stockwell comes from one of the founding partners, Eugene Stockwell, who was part of the firm when it was called Kendig, Stockwell and Gleason back in the 1970s. George has kept Stockwell as his lead firm name and has also memorialized Harris, after Steve Harris who was recently co-president with George up until 2020.
