PeopleScott Stevens gets moved up to Claims Manager at Corvel while veteran Sandra Loncaric secures a Senior Workers' Compensation Examiner position at Disney
By Lonce Lamonte - January 25, 2025Scott Stevens is now the Claims Manager at CorVel Corporation in San Diego, California.
Scott was promoted up from Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor just this month, January of 2025. He was claims supervisor for almost three years, since April of 2022. Prior to that he was a senior claims specialist and a team leader since August 2014.
These positions for the past ten years have all been with CorVel Corporation.
Prior to working for CorVel, Scott worked as a claims adjuster at CompSource Mutual Insurance Company.

Janice Thorner Levy has gone to the top in workers’ compensation claims and with a fine avocation which is fun and fabulous
By Lonce Lamonte - October 20, 2024Janice Thorner worked as a workers’ compensation claims adjuster back in the day at Industrial Indemnity in the Wilshire district of downtown and mid-Wilshire Los Angeles. I.I., as it was nicknamed then, was on a side street which this writer remembers was called Shatto Place. The area was teaming with restaurants and places to go. This Wilshire corridor with its side streets was a lively place. Businesses boomed there, especially insurance companies and banks. Plus, of course, there were many restaurants.
Janice Thorner became Janice Thorner Levy. She was always nice and warm-hearted. She is remembered by this writer as friendly and delightful to be around.
