By Lonce Lamonte - February 26, 2020

Cheryl Scott, the Workers’ Compensation Administrator at the City of Glendale, is retiring coming up on March 26th 2020.

She has managed the in-house workers’ comp program, and has overseen the handling of the Police and Fire Departments' claims plus some future medical claims at Glendale’s hands-on third-party-administrator.  She has been at the City of Glendale for over 13 years.

Cheryl began at the County of Los Angeles when they had an in-house claims program in 1978.  She started as a clerk typist and got promoted up to claims adjuster.  She moved to Bierly & Associates, a TPA in Pasadena, in 1987 and then to California Indemnity in Burbank in 1993.  She returned to Bierly & Associates which transitioned into Hertz Claims Management and then Cambridge Integrated Services Group.

By Lonce Lamonte - November 17, 2019

Lynda House, a retired, veteran workers’ compensation claims professional, just turned 66 years of age, as reported by Facebook last week.

However, from what she says about her life now, she doesn’t sound so “retired”.

“My life is now filled with volunteer services…”  Lynda effuses.

Lynda is president of the Auxiliary at Riverside Community Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
