  • Matthew Rifat, who was awaiting trial to happen this month, gets all 70 charges dismissed or stricken from the Indictment RIF 1990022 in Riverside.  He pleads guilty to one count of PC 549 in a brand new Complaint.

On February 29th 2024, just last Thursday, defendant Matthew Rifat, who was indicted with Shannon Moore, Janek Hunt, and Dr. Munir Uwaydah on January 17th 2019 by the Riverside County District Attorney, had all the charges dismissed against him.  The case number is RIF 1990022.  There are 70 felony counts in that indictment.

The defendants worked for Blue Oak Medical Group.  Shannon Moore was the overall manager who ran the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, Janek Hunt ran the billing system for Blue Oak from Estonia, and Dr. Munir Uwaydah controlled Blue Oak and acted as its silent owner from Lebanon where he has been on the lam since late June of 2010.

The 70 felony counts were either dismissed or stricken.  The charges were for money laundering and insurance fraud.  Heavy on the money laundering.  And Matthew Rifat’s potential in custody, if convicted on all charges, was 160 years; a life sentence.

This case number of RIF 1990022 was dismissed only for Matthew Rifat, who was the owner of Parkside Solutions.  Parkside was his administrative and bookkeeping service which he owned and put into a contract with Blue Oak Medical Group starting around November 17th 2015.
