|Cambridge Rearranges And Gets Ready While Crum & Forster Hires|
By Pauline Grant - September 28, 2005
Velda Sorentino is now presently the claims manager of the Los Angeles County section at Cambridge Integrated Services Group in Pasadena, while Alfred Willis, who was acting as the claims manager on the County contract has been transferred to the position of claims manager of Cambridge's Police & Fire unit. Velda is from the Sacramento Cambridge office, and apparently will be managing the County unit until it leaves at the end of 2005.
That section of L.A. County, which is the Department of Social Services, is being taken over by AIMS at the beginning of the year 2006. I've also heard some rumblings about GAB somehow being involved, but don't know in what manner. Anybody know?
Crum & Forster has hired some claims professionals: Sue Karp, who was recently a Senior Claims Specialist at TIG Insurance in Martinez, California, has accepted a Claims Supervisor's position at Crum & Forster in San Francisco. Also, that S.F. office has hired Shiela Adams as a claims assistant. Shiela had been a claims assistant for more than a decade with AIG.
In Orange, California, Crum & Forster has hired Gary Havel as a Claims Specialist. Gary has a claims management background with Ohio Casualty, Great American, and Nationwide Insurance Company.
