Sheri Lawrence began on July 23^rd 2018 as the Employee Care Services Manager at Sempra Energy, Southern California Gas, in downtown Los Angeles after 29 years of workers’ compensation claims experience.  She is responsible for the workers’ compensation and leave management department with over 30 employees who report directly to her.  The department is responsible for the leaves of absence of more than 5,000 Southern California Gas employees. 

Prior to joining Sempra Energy, Sheri was the workers’ compensation claims manager at AmTrust North America in Covina, California for over two years.  She managed an office of over 30 claims personnel, handling small to large sized accounts.  For nearly three years just before AmTrust, she was an assistant vice-president at York Risk Services Group managing the County of Los Angeles Sheriff Department claims operation. 

From 2007 to 2013, Sheri as assistant branch manager at Tristar Risk Management in Alhambra, managed the City of Los Angeles sworn claims program.  She acted as the back-up to the branch manager.

Sheri Lawrence was born in Los Angeles and graduated from El Camino Real High School in 1982. She has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Riverside and a juris doctorate degree from American College of Law. 

Sheri currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga, California, with her 12-year-old daughter, Sierra.  She loves to travel, read, and just started hiking.  She’s also a travel agent.
