| | Two Veteran Work Comp Adjusters Jump From Temp Jobs To Sedgwick CMS in Orange, CA By Lonce LaMon - November 29, 2010Louann Van Riper is now a senior claims adjuster at Sedgwick Claims Management Services in Orange, California, handling workers' compensation claims on the Eaton and Cedarfiar (Knott's Berry Farm) accounts. She joined Sedgwick on November 1st after having worked for some months as a temporary adjuster at York Insurance Services Group.
Louann worked for four years from 2006 until February of this year at Tristar Risk Management on the OCTA, Orange County Transportation workers' comp claims account in Santa Ana. Prior to Tristar she worked at Specialty Risk Services in Brea for two years and at RSKCo/Cunningham Lindsey for six years.
She started in the business as a claims examiner at Colen & Lee in Chino in 1989. Colen & Lee was a Third-Party-Administrator owned by Bernie Colen & Gary Lee, which was sold about five years ago and is today a TPA called Adminsure. Colen & Lee specialized in school districts and municipalities. Bernie Colen today is a sales executive at Keenan & Associates.
Louann went to highschool and college in Worcester, Massachussetts. She now lives in Placentia, California.
Stephanie Tegtmeyer is also a fairly new workers' comp claims adjuster at Sedgwick CMS in Orange. She has been handling claims there since the Summer.
Stephanie used to be a temporary examiner at CNA in Brea about three years ago, and she also worked temporarily at Farmers Insurance Company in Orange and at Cambridge Integrated Management Services in Santa Ana before that office was closed and Cambridge was sold to Xchanging. She has a teaching credential and even traveled to Japan for a while to teach English--all before joining Sedgwick just a few months ago.
Stephanie lives in Mission Viejo, California.
