Coroner's Inquest In Process Into The Death Of Vladimir Carretero
By Lonce LaMon - June 6, 2009

The initial word that senior workers' compensation claims examiner, Vladimir Carretero, died of an apparent heart attack last Monday, June 1st, is now being called into serious question and is being investigated by the Coroner's office.

Vladimir Carretero, who was employed at ESIS in Chatsworth at the time of his death, was apparently physically beaten a week ago last Friday, on May 29th, by some relatives or near relatives of  his.  It seems that he was encouraged by his wife to seek medical attention after the fight, but Vladimir shrugged it off insisting that he was okay. Henceforth, he did not seek medical attention.

It was first stated that he died on the night of June 1st of an apparent heart attack.  But now, conflicting stories are circulating, and it seems dubious that he really died of any type of degenerative heart disease; yet the new stories agree on the fact that he died while getting ready for work in the morning on Monday, June 1st.

One story states that while Vladimir was showering that morning while getting ready for work, his wife heard a loud thud.  When she went to investigate the thud, she found him collapsed on the bathroom floor.  Another story version states that when Vladimir started to feel bad that morning, he laid down on the couch and died on the couch.

At this time, the coroner has not released the body and will not do so until the investigation, and it can be speculated--the autopsy--is complete and the real cause of death is determined.  No funeral arrangements have been announced as yet, and no memorial service scheduled that any sources know about.
