| | Offices Close And Claims Examiners Follow Their Destiny Elsewhere By Lonce LaMon - April 28, 2009Sheryl Gernick is now the Assistant Claims Manager of Sedgwick CMS in Calabasas, California, overseeing and supervising the CIGA files which were transferred out of Broadspire in Chatsworth.
Sedgwick won the CIGA account recently and has now taken charge of the lion’s share of CIGA handling for the State of California amongst the TPAs who had for a long time split up the handling of the California Insurance Guarantee Association claims. Sheryl was the ACM at Broadspire in Chatsworth for a good period of time; so then, she naturally followed the account to Sedgwick where it just recently landed.
Leyla Balakhane also was an examiner at Broadspire in Chatsworth handling CIGA claims, and followed the account over to Sedgwick in Calabasas. Many of the examiners from Broadspire moved over to Sedgwick but not all of them. The Broadspire Chatsworth office closed, and now the claims professionals from that office are finding their way to integrate back into appropriate claims positions which fit their qualifications.
Winston McCathan is now the claims manager of SCRMA in Oxnard. Where did he come from? I don’t know. He’s a newcomer to me whom I have never heard of. Barbara Ramiller was the claims manager there recently, and now she’s clearly not there because Winston McCathan has taken over her position. Barbara Ramiller had had a very long career with The Zenith before joining SCRMA in Oxnard just a few short years ago. But now, her whereabouts in terms of employment are unknown—at least to me. Any clues? Oh where oh where did Barbara go? :-) :-) :-) |
