| | Dennis Hoppe Hops Right In To Boeing, While Doug Korab Starts As Claims Manager at Great American
By Pauline Grant - March 27, 2006Doug Korab started his new position as Claims Manager of Great American Insurance Company in Walnut Creek, California, in mid-March after leaving his position as a Supervisor at Sedgwick CMS in Walnut Creek. Doug, who likes to keep a low profile, wasn't available at the time of this writing to give me any further information about his background; but I hear he's been in the claims industry for over 20 years and mostly in the Bay Area.
Tom Der is starting as a Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor at GAB-Robins in Burbank, California, on Monday, April 3rd, 2006. Tom started as a claims examiner in 1998 with The Federated, and was promoted to Assistant Claims Manager in 2003. Then, with the announcement of The Federated claims department's move from Pasadena to Redondo Beach (which was the location of the Robinson's May claims department before The Federated bought Robinson's May last year), Tom decided to make a move of his own. Thus, he is now a supervisor at GAB-Robins in Burbank starting on this coming Monday.
Dennis Hoppe has hopped into a senior claims examiner position on the Boeing account with Broadspire in Brea, California. Dennis, who is an experienced examiner and supervisor from Farmers' Insurance Company, worked at Farmers for over a decade from 1993 to 2004. In 2004 he held a management position with Gates McDonald, and in 2005 was for a short time with Crum & Forster in Orange.
Paul Corliss, who has long term experience working on the Los Angeles County account with TriStar as an examiner and supervisor, is now handling Work Comp L.A. County claims for Intercare Insurance Services in Pasadena.
