A Florida woman got busted after she attempted to assault her husband by wearing too much perfume in the midst of a battle to get half of his workers’ compensation windfall.

The use of perfume and scented candles in a marriage setting is typically associated with romance, but in the Taylor household it’s considered chemical warfare.

David Taylor suffers from extreme chemical sensitivity as a result of his exposure to toxic mold and hazardous chemicals as a construction worker.

For his allergic disability Taylor picked up a $150,000 work comp settlement.

Following a dispute about splitting the funds and the marriage, his wife, Lynda Taylor became enraged. She then lit some scented candles and proceeded to douse herself and her daughter with perfume, and spray Lysol and bug killer throughout the house.

Taylor’s physician has ordered him to avoid all fragrances, air fresheners and other volatile chemicals. Because Taylor’s wife knew the odors she released in the house could have a severe effect on him, she was charged May 1 with aggravated battery.

Lynda thinks this all stinks and that her husband is faking his allergies so he can get a leg up in divorce proceedings.
