California Division of Workers' Compensation Posts Adjustments to Official Medical Fee Schedule (DMEPOS) By Lonce Lamonte, editor, with the DWC's Newsline - June 21, 2024
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted an order adjusting the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule to conform to the Quarter 3, 2024, change in the Medicare payment system as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.
The order, which is effective for services on or after July 1, 2024, adopts the Medicare July 2024 Quarter 3 DMEPOS Fee Schedule update, including an updated DMEPOS file and updated rural ZIP code file.
CMS did not adopt an update to the parenteral and enteral nutrition file for Quarter 3, therefore the Quarter 2 file remains in effect for parenteral and enteral nutrition services on or after July 1, 2024.
