The California Highway Patrol Bridgeport Office is currently leading an investigation into what they described as an “unusual incident” on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, which resulted in the death of Alexis Sabrina Wicker, a 23-year-old, on Tuesday Feb. 20, 2024.
At approximately 11:50 p.m. that Monday evening, the CHP Bridgeport Area units and Mono County Sheriff's Department received a call reporting an “unusual incident” involving a vehicle on Hot Creek Hatchery Road, east of Highway 395.
According to the CHP Bridgeport Office, Ms. Wicker sustained severe injuries as a result of this incident. Reportedly, a 26-year-old man, possibly her boyfriend, from Mammoth Lakes transported Wicker to Mammoth Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Alexis Wicker was born on Sept. 4, 2000, resided in Hesperia, and was a worker’s compensation medical claims adjuster at AdminSure, a third-party administrator in Ontario, California.
Alexis leaves behind her parents, Josh and Monica; siblings, Alyssa and Jameson; and her nephew, Javen.
