| | Injured On The Job By Customer Assault By Lonce Lamonte - May 9, 2022
Demetris Coleman, 45, allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old Jimmy John’s employee on April 25th in High Point, North Carolina. According to witness employees, Coleman came to the store to complain about her order, then threw several items at the young employee and stabbed her with an edged weapon.
The employee victim was taken to the hospital. Demetris Coleman was later arrested at her home, and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and injury to real property for damage to the store. Employees stated Coleman was a problem customer and had been asked to leave the restaurant on previous occasions.
On May 3rd, two employees of a Spartanburg, South Carolina Krispy Kreme store were hospitalized after a couple argued with them over donuts. Police said a couple began arguing with an employee at the drive-through window.
The customers ordered a donut the store didn’t have. When the employee stated they didn’t have that particular donut, the customers accused him of having an “attitude”. Thus, the employee told the customers to “order donuts we have or don’t order at all.”
The couple then entered the lobby yelling and another employee tried to diffuse the situation. The couple shoved him to the ground and he hit his head on the floor. Another employee was also shoved to the ground.
Both employees were taken to the hospital for treatment.
