California Division of Workers’ Compensation Issues Notice of December 17 Public Hearing for QME Electronic Service Regulation By Lonce Lamonte and the DWC Newsline - October 29, 2021
The Division of Workers Compensation (DWC) has issued a notice of public hearing on December 17 for the adoption of California Code of Regulations, title 8, section 36.7: Electronic Service of Medical-Legal Reports by Medical Evaluators.
The proposed adoption makes permanent the emergency regulation that was adopted in May 2020. The adoption of regulation section 36.7 provides a mechanism for electronic service of medical-legal reports and all documents required by section 36.
A public hearing will be held via Zoom on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10 a.m. and members of the public can submit written comments until 11:59 p.m. that day.
