California Division of Workers’ Compensation Posts Adjustments to Official Medical Fee Schedule for Physician Services/Non-Physician Practitioner Services to Implement Medicare Correction to the Correct Coding Initiative Files By Lonce Lamonte and the DWC Newsline - March 5, 2020
The Division of Workers’ Compensation’s (DWC) Administrative Director has posted an Order adopting corrections made by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to the National Correct Coding Initiative Practitioner Procedure to Procedure Edits files. Although CMS has adopted the Practitioner PTP Edits correction retroactively to January 1, 2020, the correction will be adopted prospectively for workers’ compensation for services on or after March 13, 2020.
The Administrative Director update order effective for services on or after March 13, 2020, adopting the Correct Coding Initiative Practitioner PTP Edits v260r2, can be found at the DWC website’s OMFS page.
