DWC Posts Proposed Further Amendments to WCIS Regulations and EDI Implementation Guides By News Release from CA Department of Industrial Relations - May 25, 2016
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) today posted proposed regulations further revising its Workers’ Compensation Information System (WCIS) regulations and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Implementation Guides. Members of the public are invited to present written comments regarding the proposed modifications to dwcrules@dir.ca.gov until 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.
Following the Office of Administrative Law’s publication of DWC’s initial draft of these regulations, a public hearing was held on March 28, 2016 for public comment.
The additional revisions made to the regulations and to the EDI Implementation Guide for First and Subsequent Reports Of Injury (FROI/SROI) and the EDI Implementation Guide for Medical Bill Payment Records, Version 2.0 were made in response to changes suggested by trading partners and other stakeholders, and a few additional changes were made to improve the quality and integrity of the data to be reported going forward.
