Martin Brady Reappointed To California Commission On Health And Safety And Workers' Compensation By Lonce LaMon - May 10, 2016
Martin Brady was reappointed to the California Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation. California’s Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation (CHSWC) today announced his reappointment. He has served since 2012.
Governor Jerry Brown reappointed Brady as the public employer representative. Commissioners are appointed by the Governor and the Legislature. Labor Code 75 establishes that two of the employer members and two of the labor members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Governor for a total of four members.
Brady has been executive director at the Schools Insurance Authority since 1997, where he was a risk management and prevention manager from 1988 to 1997. He is a director of the California Association of Joint Powers Authority and the California Coalition on Workers Compensation. He earned a Master of Arts degree in physical education from California State University, Fresno.
