Don Grant, of Industrial Indemnity fame, who was I.I.'s workers' compensation claims manager in L.A. for donkey years before it was sold to Fremont back in the mid 1990s, is now the vice-president of claims at Berkshire Hathaway in Pasadena. Don most recently was the claims manager of Buckeye Claims Administrators in Cerritos, California.
Nancy Melton is now the claims manager at the Zenith Insurance Company claims office in Orange, acting ostensibly as that branch's interum manager. Nancy has been with the Zenith for about two decades and has always before worked in the San Fernando Valley office.
Susan Newman, the former recent claims manager of Mitsui Sumi Tomo Marine in Universal City, has left there and gone to Hartford in Brea as a CSC (claims service consultant). She now works as a liaison between underwriting, the broker and the claims department.
Lu Anne Daugherty who recently joined E.S.I.S. in Woodland Hills as a supervisor, has already left there after only several months with them. Luann was the claims supervisor of Hazelrigg Risk Management in Oxnard just prior to joining ESIS.
