I'd heard from a reliable source that Tom Bischof was going over to Hazelrigg Risk Management in Oxnard as an Interim Claims Manager or Supervisor to help out as a temporary employee while Luanne Daugherty is on maternity leave.  So, I wrote my last column and reported as much, only to have a reader, Dana Archer, tell me Tom never made it over to Hazelrigg.

He accepted a counter-offer from his employer, Thorston Insurance Services, and stayed on as the only claims professional in the Westlake office.  Henceforth, Tom showed up on the email list at Hazelrigg but not in the flesh. 

Karen Sherrill was just at Hazelrigg in Oxnard working as a junior examiner, but now she's a comp examiner at Zurich American in Woodland Hills. 

I didn't plan this column to be all about Hazelrigg, but it looks like it's turning out that way.  Some things just happen spontaneously that aren't planned (like Tom staying at Thorston).  So, it happens that Jill-Marie Andreski is working now as a work comp examiner at Hazelrigg in Chino Hills, and Susan Baptista is there too as a claims assistant.  Both Jill-Marie and Susan worked previously at Colen & Lee in Diamond Bar.
