Executive Kimberly George reaches milestone of 24 years at Sedgwick.
By Lonce Lamonte - August 14, 2025

Kimberly George is from the West Coast of the continental United States, and is currently stationed professionally in Chicago, Illinois for Sedgwick.

She’s presently the Global Chief Brand Officer.

She’s been a top executive for over a decade. Someone gave her the advice some years ago to focus on the client and everything else would fall into place. And that’s what she’s been doing ever since.

She’s focused now on building and living Sedgwick’s brand as an enterprise of passionate colleagues. Her objective is to deliver high caliber client experience opportunities. She engages in thought leadership and collaboration around the world.

Sedgwick is now a major corporate enterprise worldwide. The organization has purchased numerous companies within the past two decades and has powerfully expanded its footprint globally over that time.

Kimberly George has previously been responsible for Sedgwick’s global strategy, product development, and innovation. For over 25 years she has created and delivered health and benefits solutions. She has developed digital strategies and technology, and been intimately connected to claims administration.

She worked closely with superstar claims manager and executive Darrell Brown. When Darrell died in November of 2019 of a sudden and unexpected heart attack at the age of 52, Kimberly was very much impacted and aggrieved. She said at the time that it was just “surreal”.

The loss of Darrell Brown was a big loss to Sedgwick.

Kimberly has always focused on strengthening colleague relationships and customer relationships. She’s experienced in financial acumen and building successful businesses.

She’s an experienced keynote speaker. She’s a founding board member and the current president of the Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation.

Kimberly started in claims medical management services in 1992. Her endeavor was to improve the healthcare delivery models for catastrophic and complex medical claimants. She grew from her core as a nurse. She was a neuro-trauma nurse.

Over 15 years ago, she oversaw more than 1,000 nurses and managed care professionals for Sedgwick Claims Management Services. She has measured workers’ compensation outcomes for California doctors. She later expanded that model and assessed workers’ compensation treatment for more than 230,000 doctors nationwide.

She was written up in the column of “Women to Watch” at Business Insurance Magazine in 2011. In that interview she stated that she would suggest that any woman entering the industry should gain as much varied experience as possible.
