Kemper Re-ups With CIGA By Robert Warne - March 31, 2003
With its foot already in the door with the California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA), Kemper Services plans to showcase its claim service platform for another five years for the state.
Patricia A. Drago, president of Kemper Services announced the freshly inked agreement March 31.
Sizing up the deal she said, “Our contract with CIGA is a big win for our service platform.”
Kemper’s relationship with CIGA began when it started handling claims for CIGA in conjunction with its acquisition of Superior National’s book of business in 2000. Even though Kemper sold the renewal rights of the Superior accounts to Argonaut last year, it has remained waist deep in the runoff.
“We look forward to providing them with quality claims handling service into the future as we continue to build our relationship,” said Drago.
