|  | Tokio Marine America Victimized By Cyber Attack By Lonce Lamonte - June 14, 2025On June 9th, Tuesday, 2025, Tokio Marine America discovered unauthorized interference to its systems threatening its entire network. Thus, Tokio Marine shut down its network.
On that day a full forensic investigation began and is ongoing. The company notified law enforcement. This incident has been deemed a Cyber attack.
The company group includes Tokio Marine America, Philadelphia Insurance, and FICO (First Insurance Company of Hawaii). Henceforth, all these companies are affected; all departments including Underwriting, Claims, and Billing are affected. All users since the latest word have been unable to access email, phones, and files.
A statement from Tokio Marine expresses that teams have been working around the clock to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. The statement acknowledged a return to full business operations will take time. Further statement was in the form of an apology expressing Tokio Marine’s priorities to deliver reliable service, responsiveness, and dedicated partnership to those in partnership with them.
