California Division of Workers’ Compensation Advises Eform Filers to Upgrade Windows OS to Continue to Use Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS) By Lonce Lamonte and the DWC Newsline - June 23, 2021
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) is advising eform filers using older Microsoft operating systems to upgrade to continue using the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS).
Eform filers with Windows OS 7, 8 or 8.1 will no longer be able to access EAMS starting on August 1. Microsoft has ended support for Windows OS 7 partially due to inherent security issues. DWC recommends efilers using OS 7, 8 and 8.1 upgrade to Windows 10 before August 1. This includes qualified medical evaluators and return to work external users. JET Filers or JET vendors will not be impacted by this change.
