California Division of Workers’ Compensation Posts Adjustment to Official Medical Fee Schedule for Physician and Non-Physician Practitioner Services to Adopt Updated Telehealth List and Monthly Update for Physician-Administered Drugs By Lonce Lamonte and the DWC Newsline - April 21, 2021
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted an order adjusting the Physician and Non-Physician Practitioner Services section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) to conform to relevant 2021 changes in the Medicare payment system as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.
The Administrative Director update order adopts the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ revised Medicare Telehealth List which adds 24 codes to the list of telehealth services. The list supersedes the previous list which the DWC adopted effective for services on or after April 1, 2021.
In addition, the order adopts the OMFS monthly update to the fees for physician-administered drugs, vaccines, and biologicals, effective for services rendered on or after April 15, 2021.
