California Division of Workers' Compensation Posts Adjustments to Official Medical Fee Schedule for Pathology and Clinical Laboratory

The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has posted an order adjusting the pathology and clinical laboratory section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) to conform to changes in the Medicare payment system, as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.

The pathology and clinical laboratory fee schedule update order adopts the following Medicare change:

·         CY 2021 Q1 Release: Revised for 2021 (21CLABQ1)

In addition, the order adopts continued use of the prices of specified COVID-19 related testing codes that do not have national prices but are priced by the California Medicare Administrative Contractor.

The order adopting the 2021 Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule Annual Update is effective for services rendered on or after January 1, 2021 and can be found on DWC’s website.
