| | Crawford & Company Goes Big With Two New Contracts By Robert Warne - November 13, 2002Crawford & Company has pulled down two respectable contracts with two powerhouse insurers this month as announced Nov. 12.
First, in the United States, Crawford will provide The Hartford Financial Services Group with independent property claims adjuster services.
"Crawford is honored to be chosen as an independent adjuster for such a prestigious and world-renowned company," said Grover L. Davis, Crawford chairman and CEO.
Then across the Atlantic, a deal has been struck with Royal & Sun Alliance(R&SA) in London. Through this arrangement Crawford will become the nominated external adjuster for personal and commercial claims work in the United Kingdom, effective on a phased basis over coming weeks.
Crawford is pleased with the new deal, which was won in the face of stiff competition from other loss adjusting companies. Crawford attributes R&SA’s selection to its new service based approach to claims handling, in particular the deployment of client specific business units.
As nominated service provider, Crawford support R&SA's in-house loss adjusting capability.
Speaking about the new agreement, Ian Muress, Crawford's regional managing director U.K. & Ireland, said, "My colleagues and I look forward to working closely with R&SA alongside PCS, to deliver ongoing service benefits within the claims process, as adjusting moves towards an increasingly regulated environment."
Crawford's plans with R&SA include supporting brokers, improving communication, and reducing the claims process time. In addition, Crawford will be increasing deployment of ePRIME, the company's web-enabled claims enquiry system. |
