A memorial service will be held at Camarillo Airport at Channel Islands Aviation Hanger 265 on August 6, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm for WorkCompCentral Founder and Chief Executive Officer David J. DePaolo.
DePaolo was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu Hills on Sunday, July 17th. David was born in 1959.
David DePaolo was a surfer who engaged in wind surfing, kite surfing, and conventional surfing, and was a biker, a pilot, and overall consummate athlete. As an amateur pilot he flew a 1979 Beechcraft Bonanza and regularly blogged about his excursions in “41 Mike”.
David started WorkCompCentral on January 1, 1999. He built it for starters as a site offering all the workers’ compensation forms online, and from there he drove it nationwide with workers’ compensation news, education, and information.
He also volunteered for Angel Flight, a charity that provides transportation for families with medical emergencies.
In lieu of flowers, David’s family would appreciate donations to Kids Chance of California or Angel Flight.
Persons wishing to attend the services are requested to email or call Valeria Garcia at vgarcia@workcompcentral.com or 805 484-0333, ext 127. Channel Islands Aviation Hanger 265 in on Durley Avenue.
