| | Sedgwick To Expand To Ireland. President And CEO, Dave North, Has Announced The Company Signed A Definitive Purchase Agreement To Acquire OSG Group. By Lonce LaMon - May 25, 2016
Dave North put out the word last night that Sedgwick has signed a purchase agreement to acquire OSG Group in Ireland. OSG is an outsource service provider of property and liability loss adjusting and Third Party Administration.
“The purchase marks Sedgwick’s first investment in Ireland and a milestone in the expansion of our international presence,” Dave wrote. He went on to state that as part of the transaction, OSG CEO Malcolm Hughes and his team of more than 400 in eight locations across Ireland will join Sedgwick’s international operations.
Now Sedgwick, Vericlaim (which was just purchased by Sedgwick last year) and OSG plus the Sedgwick-partners in the vrs Adjusters network provide adjusting and adjusting-related outsourced services to the global insurance market.
Dave North went on to express in Sedgwick’s News Release of today, May 25th 2016: “As a sophisticated insurance and financial services center for much of Europe, Ireland was a natural fit for the next stage of Sedgwick’s growth beyond North America. “OSG has been an esteemed member of our vrs Adjusters network for more than a decade, earning a stellar global reputation in both loss adjusting and claims administration.

The transaction is expected to close next month, subject to the customary conditions and approvals.
