Vericlaim—a subsidiary of Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., and global provider of loss adjusting and claims management services—has acquired First Choice Repair, a managed repair network of high-quality contractors servicing damaged commercial and residential properties. Vericlaim has long specialized in the management of low-frequency, high-severity property loss claims.
Now, Vericlaim asserts that the addition of First Choice Repair to the Vericlaim family positions the company to respond quickly and effectively to high-frequency, low-severity property events, whether they result from everyday damage or a catastrophe such as a storm.
Vericlaim, in a marriage with First Choice Repair, will now provide the spectrum of low-frequency, high-severity property claims and high-frequency, low severity claims services combined. Their new brand will collectively expand their capabilities.
First Choice Repair, based in Jacksonville, Florida, built the claims industry’s first proprietary restoration and repair network. Through the First Choice Repair network, hundreds of credentialed contractors, many of whom operate in the roofing, siding and gutter sector, deliver restoration and repair services to customers across the U.S.
