California DWC Announces Public Meeting on September 8 to Discuss Evidence-Based Drug Formulary—Note New Date and Location By News Release - California Department of Industrial Relations - August 19, 2015
California DIR's Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has rescheduled its public meeting to discuss issues related to developing an evidence-based drug formulary for use in the workers' compensation system. The meeting, previously scheduled for September 14, will now be held:

This meeting is an opportunity for the public to provide input to the Division on developing and implementing a formulary. DWC will facilitate discussion on how to best achieve the intended goals of an evidence-based drug formulary in the workers’ compensation system, which include the following:
Improve appropriate care through the dispensing of evidenced-based medicine
Expedite pharmaceutical treatment for ill and injured workers
Reduce delays, including the reducing the need for elevated utilization review and independent medical review
Improve efficient delivery of medical benefits and reduce administrative costs.
