Atlas General Insurance Services is a nationwide general insurance agency that offers a wide range of insurance products with a focus on workers’ compensation.
Today Atlas General announced that John Speckman and Joe Zuk have been hired as executive vice presidents of business development. They will have their offices in the new Atlas offices in New York.
John Speckman has more than 16 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance. He served as the director at Aon Benfield specializing in general casualty with a focus on specialty programs, workers’ compensation, and professional liability. Now at Atlas, Speckman will be responsible for sourcing general agency, distribution and carrier partnerships, with the ultimate goal of building a nationwide platform for Atlas to distribute its products and services.
Joe Zuk will be in charge of strategic development of new products, acquisitions, carrier relationships, new programs, and geographic expansion. He has 10 years of experience in the reinsurance space including roles in underwriting and brokering. He was the senior vice president at BMS Intermediaries, Inc.; there he was in charge of the development and strategy of BMS’s nationwide initiatives.
The founder and CEO of Atlas General, Bill Trzos, made this statement: “I am pleased to welcome John and Joe to the Atlas team. They will play pivotal roles in building a national platform for Atlas. I am confident they will be valuable additions to our executive team and an asset to the company.”
