| | Atlas Hires Billy Garren And Kristi Tinker With Strong Work Comp Underwriting Experience For Knoxville, Tennessee, Marketing Office.

Atlas General Insurance Services, LLC, has hired Billy Garren and Kristi Tinker, both whom have extensive experience as workers’ compensation underwriters, for their Knoxville, Tennessee, dedicated marketing office. Kristi has been hired as the senior workers’ compensation underwriter, and Billy Garren as the underwriting manager for the commercial division.
Both Kristi and Billy worked at Appalachian Underwriters: Kristi from 2007 up until last month, and Billy from 2001 to 2012.
Kristi Tinker lives in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, and went to Oliver Springs High School. In her underwriting career she has been responsible for maintaining the workers’ compensation underwriting process for various carriers. She obtained the RWCS (Registered Workers’ Compensation Specialist) designation from IRMI in August of 2010 and is currently pursuing the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
Billy Garren was a workers’ compensation underwriter at Appalachian Underwriters for almost five years from 2001 to 2006. Then, still at Appalachian he became a commercial specialty underwriter and then a commercial specialty underwriting manager.
Billy’s duties have included program development and implementation, as well as compliance and regulatory issues. After serving in the United States Air Force, he graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1997.
