| | Sprinter For Sex Sentenced To Nine Months In Jail For Workers' Compensation Fraud. By Lonce LaMon - December 17, 2012
Modupe Adunni Martin, 29, a Northern California Bay Area workers’ compensation claimant, was sentenced to nine months in jail just last Thursday, December 13th in San Mateo County.
She is the claimant who was caught on video by a subrosa investigator as she ran to meet her partner in a park where they proceeded to have sex. She was claiming workers’ compensation disability over an alleged sprained ankle.
Martin, a custodian at Sequoia Union High School District, was on Temporary Total Disability (TTD) for a left ankle work injury in August of 2009, but was captured by the subrosa investigator ditching her crutches at the public park and then running at a good speed actually on high-heeled shoes towards her waiting boyfriend. While at the park, she was seen on her knees in front of her sitting boyfriend performing what Bill Clinton did not consider sex.
Martin was arrested in August 2009 and charged with 10 counts of insurance fraud by the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office. She entered a plea of not-guilty. She was free until her last Thursday’s sentencing on a $40,000 bail and pled no contest at her trial which took place in late October.
Martin had claimed that her injury left her unable to walk. She had made 10 visits to doctors over a three-month time period. A co-worker suspected she was malingering and alerted the appropriate representative who turned to investigators.
Modupe Martini was taken into custody immediately after sentencing, was also sentenced to 3 years of supervised probation, and ordered to pay more than $79,000 in restitution.
