American Claims Management, based in San Diego, California, and also known as ACM, has opened up a new claims office in Tampa Bay, Florida, for handling property claims. These claims will include personal property, catastrophic wind and rain, and earthquake claims.
Pier Westra, Vice President of ACM’s Property Claims Division, will manage the new branch office, which will start out by having fifteen to twenty claims staff. Westra, a veteran with over 20 years claims experience, joined ACM in November of 2011. His background includes managing the property and casualty claims and field operations at The Harford, Allied American, and Vanguard Fire and Casualty.
The ACM claims office in San Diego handles a lot of workers’ compensation claims. Claims handled there include the claims of the California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corporation, the largest self-insured group in California.
Another ACM claims office is in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Our property and catastrophic loss response units are enjoying significant growth through our U.S. based and Lloyd’s of London clients,” said Scott Marshall, President of ACM.
American Claims Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arrowhead General Agency, Inc.
