Barry Zalma Starts New Video Series Called 'Who Got Caught' on WIRN.tv By Lonce LaMon - February 1, 2012
Insurance fraud expert Barry Zalma states that insurance fraud in the United States costs the insurance industry between 80 billion and 300 billion dollars every single year.

Barry makes the point that court sentences and convictions have to make the punishments severe enough to act as a deterrent to future perpetrators. If they don’t, the insurance industry just can’t justify spending so much money on surveillance, investigation, and litigation.
Lenient sentences only act as an encouragement to individuals who think they can profit from workers’ compensation fraud and other types of insurance fraud.
