Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Struggles To Dismiss Case Of Frontline Medical And Munir Uwaydah Against Former Administrator. Case Dismissed Without Prejudice But A New Case Lands In Another Court Room! Part II
By Lonce LaMon - October 12, 2011

The surrender of his passports serves Munir Uwaydah’s dual purpose now, as it gives him power to confuse and torment Judge Teresa Sanchez Gordon as a fine and fair-minded judge, who has no clue of Uwaydah’s power of manipulation, while it allows him to be as stingy as possible with his wife Kadri.  Clearly Kadri is no longer willing to cooperate with Uwaydah’s power games and infidelities.  Uwaydah only gives money to individuals whom he can completely control.  Kelly Soo Park is a case in point.

He’s all about power and control, and using money to control people.  He is the description of the evil individual in Martin Buber’s seminal work Good and Evil who plays “The uncanny game of hide-and-seek in the obscurity of the soul, in which it, the single

human soul, evades itself, avoids itself, hides from itself.”

Yes, Uwaydah is constantly in hiding—predominantly from himself.  He’s no psychopath, he has a conscience, which he constantly walls off in order not to feel guilty.  Instead of feeling guilty, he merely acts upon his will to get his own way.   He’s willful and all about pretense, as he constantly worries about maintaining a fake representation of respectability.  He’s thriving on the secrecy being maintained presently by the law enforcement agencies.  I wish they’d expedite the conclusion of their investigation and take some action.

Mitchell Kamin did respond to Ryan Saba’s eloquent argument.  He responded by saying:

Mitchell Kamin:  These are not facts supported by any evidence that has been presented in this court.  It’s solely been on declarations from Mr. Saba without identifying particular agents from any law enforcement agency, without citing any transcripts from any proceeding where Dr. Uwaydah is identified as a person of interest.  To suggest we have not submitted documentation from the Sharia Court is completely contrary to the record in this case.

To raise all these unrelated allegations, by the way, have created an issue in the case.  That’s also something we’ve objected to.  The discovery has been stayed as to the defendants based upon their involvement in a criminal investigation...

Kamin has to know that no agents can be cited at this time and no transcripts are available because of the ongoing investigation.  The incredible secrecy and length of the investigation puts the defense at a disadvantage.  Courts also have a practice of keeping out testimony that they consider irrelevant information to the specific case.  So, Kamin uses that to his advantage here.

Mitchell Kamin:  I think with all due respect, we have to limit the analysis today to what is before this court and what is sound evidence with foundation, not simply what counsel represents without providing any evidence whatsoever about unrelated criminal allegations as fantastic as they might sound.  What we have is information directly from the Sharia Court and that should be the basis for the ruling.

The information about the Sharia Court has been completely manipulated by Uwaydah, and he’s counting on that to manipulate the Los Angeles Superior Court. That’s what he always does.  Judge Teresa replied that her ruling would be based upon everything that has been before the court in the past.  She emphasized that she had accommodated the plaintiff as much as she could.  She set a

reasonable deadline of September 30th for Uwaydah to get in his deposition, but the date had come and gone and there was still no deposition.  The alternatives presented to a deposition she had not found to be reasonable.

Then she wondered why the soon-to-be-ex-wife’s lawyer was communicating with plaintiff’s counsel and why not Uwaydah or his lawyer.  Why wasn’t Uwaydah making a statement that as soon as the Sharia court settlement was over that he would take the next plane back?

She had forgotten that she had demanded in a previous hearing that she wanted no more statements from second or third-parties but wanted to hear only from the Sharia Court directly.  She stated this on June 14th:

Judge Teresa (during the June 14th status conference):  I want to be very clear.  I am not going to accept a declaration from any other person.  I want to hear from the Sharia court.  Not from Uwaydah, not from his lawyer.  Let me see what I get from the Sharia court.

This was the first sign that Judge Teresa was getting confused.  She was forgetting things.  Here in spite of her demand that she not get declarations from any one other than the Sharia Court itself, Mitchell Kamin sent her a declaration from Kadri Uwaydah’s lawyer, thinking she would be more open to a statement from him rather than Uwaydah and his lawyer, in spite of the fact the judge demanded statements only from the Court.  I remembered her so clearly focused and in possession of a solid memory with other cases I’d observed, but now she was falling into confusion.

I’ve seen this before, and I’ve experienced it directly myself.  When evil is involved, it throws even the most brilliant and gifted individuals into confusion.  M. Scott Peck, the late 20th Century psychiatrist and the author of The Road Less Travelled, said in his work on evil and Satan, People of the Lie, that “It (Satan) propounds its lies with extraordinary power… In each exorcism I witnessed the exorcist—strong, mature, and faithful—temporarily incapacitated by confusion...”

And Judge Teresa got further confused.  Mitchell Kamin kept stating that his understanding was that when the Sharia Court order was lifted, Uwaydah would make himself available for his deposition.

Judge Teresa: Based on what?  You’re assuming that based on what?

His assumption is based on what normal people do.  Uwaydah is not a normal person.  He will never make himself available for deposition.  Then the judge turned to Ryan Saba and told him she was going to give him one last word and that she only

wanted his position on the declaration from Kadri Uwaydah’s lawyer.

Ryan Saba:  When we filed the motion to compel, they came in at the last minute with an 11th hour declaration.  The court continued the hearing.  They came in with another 11th hour declaration.  We continued another hearing.  This is a pattern and practice of delay.  This court set a firm deadline.

Let’s just dismiss it.  If they want to refile it, they can refile it.  But today is the time to dismiss this case.  That’s what this court has warned.  There’s been plenty of notice.  That’s the proper thing to do in regard to a discovery order that has been blatantly violated.

I don’t think they should be able to refile it.  This case should be dismissed with prejudice.  It should be thrown into the incinerator and be gone for good.  But, in spite of Ryan Saba stating he would be satisfied with a dismissal without prejudice, Judge Teresa still wouldn’t dismiss it just yet.

Judge Teresa:  Alright.  Let me ponder that a little bit.

to be continued...
