L.A. County DA's Office Raids Applicants' Attorney Dennis Fusi's Office. And Others...
By Lonce LaMon - May 26, 2011

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office raided about seven applicants’ law firms yesterday and today in a crack down by L.A. County law enforcement to stop the rings of attorneys and doctors who engage with criminal medical practice enterprises poignantly designed to rip off the insurance industry.

It is known at this time that twenty search warrants were issued and served, but it is not known precisely all of the exact firms and medical groups that were served.

It is known that the law firm of Dennis Fusi in Lakewood was raided and shut down while teams of police officers confiscated files of workers’ compensation and personal injury cases as they threw everybody out of the office, with the exception of perhaps a manager, and proceeded to pack up the evidence.

One individual stated that Fusi's office was called yesterday and this morning, and nobody answered the phone. However, this writer called Fusi's office this afternoon and somebody did answer the phone. However, I was bounced around from voice mail box to voice mail box, and eventually did leave a message for Dennis Fusi.  But he hasn't called back.

It is also known that Rezai & Associates in Irvine was raided and evidence confiscated. A defense attorney was waiting to take a deposition when the offices were shut down by the cops. However, other firms such as Perona, Langer, Beck, Servin, and Mendoza; Lionel Giron; Keith Nelson in Long Beach; Barry Appel; Robin Jacobs; Hinden & Breslavsky were mentioned, but if police truly raided their offices it could not be verified.

In the L.A. DA’s office Workers’ Compensation Fraud Division, Terry Lusk, was not available at the time this writer called and has not yet responded to the message left.

Dennis Fusi, who also has a San Diego office, filed 14 cases against Aramark after Aramark’s San Diego facility closed last year.  Fusi files for claimants alleging back pain, sleep disorders, sexual dysfunction, psychiatric and stress disorders, as his standards.   His office has a very high volume of cases.

He used a chiropractor, David Evans, D.C. to refer all 14 cases to Proex Diagnostics, used almost exclusively by Fusi.  There are a plethora of liens filed for Proex Diagnostics.
