In The Matter Of Munir Uwaydah, M.D. - For The Workers' Compensation Fraud Doctor, Deception And Dishonesty Are The Sine Qua Non Of His Life, Part III
By Douglas Cameron - January 3, 2011

Summary of Part I and Part II:  In 2008, my friend Marcie asked me to help her friend Jeannie, who had gotten pregnant by Munir Uwaydah, M.D.  He had threatened to kidnap their son and take him to Lebanon.

Information revealed that Uwaydah had a wife with three of his children living in Lebanon with his mother; a mistress (whom I give the alias of Helga Heinenbach) with whom he had twin children living in Marina Del Rey, California; Jeannie herself (not her real name) with whom he had a son born in 2007, and a girlfriend named Juliana Redding, whom Jeannie had come to understand had replaced her in Munir Uwaydah's life.

Public records indicated Uwaydah was involved in several lawsuits involving fraud. He was implicated in an attempted stabbing of a young woman, Sarah (not her real name),who had criticized him.  He had substantial investments in properties in Estonia, Germany, and in the U.S.  He had promised to marry Jeannie but instead sent her on a roller coaster ride of false promises.

Jeannie had asked a family friend to marry her in 2007 in order to protect her unborn child from Dr. Uwaydah. Somehow, Uwaydah found out about the marriage and manipulated Jeannie into an annulment and into forgiving him.  She eventually gave birth and Uwaydah showed up at the birth to sign the papers as the father, but then disappeared. He then allowed Jeannie to move into his Beverly Hills house, but rarely appeared.  He showed up only to sexually mistreat Jeannie soon after she gave birth. A week and a half after giving birth, Jeannie took an ambulance to UCLA Hospital believing she had been poisoned. She was experiencing swelling, vomiting, and diarrhea. About three weeks after the birth, Jeannie left Uwahdah's Beverly Hills house out of fear that Uwaydah had poisoned her and was trying to kill her. After that, Uwaydah contacted Jeannie at her mother's house alternately offering child support only to then swiftly change his mind and state he wanted out of the situation.

About three to four months after leaving the Beverly Hills mansion, Jeannie’s hair began falling out in large clumps. She went to a local Urgent Care Center and was told that the most likely cause for the hair loss was heavy metal poisoning.  It was recommended by the staff there that she have the heavy metal toxicology tests performed and was provided a cost estimate, which she could not afford.  Therefore, due to this cost prohibitive factor, she did not have the tests performed.

Jeannie did take the time to file a complaint with the California Medical Board, regarding the activities that took place in the UCLA Medical Center Hospital when the staff gave Dr. Uwaydah access to her room and her records when she specifically demanded that he not be given access to her.  But she received no response from the Medical Board.

During one of the conversations Jeannie had with Dr. Uwaydah, he stated that he had changed his mind, alleging that he was not the father of her son, even though he had signed the birth documents in the hospital as her son’s father, and insisted that DNA tests be run to confirm that he was the father. Jeannie contacted a DNA testing company to do that, but the testing company was never able to get Dr. Uwaydah to present himself for DNA testing.

By mid-October 2007 Jeannie had had enough of the game playing and hired an attorney to sue Dr. Munir Uwaydah for child support. The attorney filed a small set of standard forms for that purpose, then hired a Process Server to serve papers on Dr. Uwaydah. The Process Server was never allowed through the gate at the gated community where Dr. Uwaydah allegedly lived, and the staff at Frontline Medical refused to allow Dr. Uwaydah to be served at work, so the court case continued on with no activity until Jeannie was notified by her attorney that he had exhausted all the funds from her $4,000.00 retainer. Jeannie responded by firing the attorney and represented herself Pro Per in the remaining hearings.

In the six months following the filing of the court case for child support, Jeannie started collecting information on Dr. Munir Uwaydah, thus, she contacted another attorney in West Los Angeles. That attorney acquired copies of the fraudulent court case filed in Santa Monica so Dr. Munir Uwaydah could acquire physical and legal custody of his twin children with Helga Heinenbach, without her knowledge or consent, while she was in Germany.

With help from a private investigator, Jeannie was able to locate and make contact with Helga Heinenbach, who knew nothing about Dr. Munir Uwaydah being married with children, knew nothing about him dating Sarah or Jeannie, knew nothing about the Santa Monica court case. She was extremely upset and felt betrayed over all this information, particularly when she learned that Dr. Uwaydah had taken Jeannie to the German chateau that Helga helped to develop.

Jeannie learned that she had been replaced by a new woman that Dr. Uwaydah started dating in about September 2007, a younger woman named Juliana Redding. Dr. Uwaydah took Helga Heinenbach to the Tapas bar where Juliana Redding worked as a waitress. When Helga went to the ladies room, Dr. Uwaydah introduced himself to Juliana Redding. He subsequently soon thereafter started dating her. In October 2007, Dr. Uwaydah returned to Lebanon and impregnated his wife Kadri Uwaydah with their third child, due in late August 2008.

At some point during the conversations between Helga and Jeannie (in February 2008), Dr. Uwaydah confronted Helga, and she disclosed that she had been in communication with Jeannie, that she knew about the Santa Monica court case, filed by him to steal custody of her children, and Dr. Uwaydah told Helga that if she did not stop communicating with Jeannie, that he would give her medication that would put her to sleep. Dr. Uwaydah then took away Helga’s transportation, cell phone, bank cards, etc. and tried to evict her from his home and threatened to call the police to have her removed.  But she refused to leave the residence and leave her children behind with Uwaydah.

In this general time frame Jeannie learned, after the fact, that Dr. Munir Uwaydah had cancelled the health insurance that he had initially set up for their son, effective November 1, 2007, and that the hospital expenses incurred for his birth were never paid by Dr. Uwaydah, as he had promised.

In March 2008, Dr. Munir Uwaydah flew to Lebanon, picked up his wife and their children and took them to Estonia so Kadri could spend time with her family. While Dr Uwaydah was making several high-visibility public appearances in Estonia, Juliana Redding was being murdered, allegedly by one of his employees of Frontline Medical, Kelly Soo Park.

On April 22, 2008 GE Medical Systems Europe was successful in moving their lawsuit against Dr. Munir Uwaydah and Prometheus Health Imaging, Inc. (Dr. Uwaydah’s alter ego) from Ohio to the California Central District Court – Los Angeles. The Ohio Court had found Dr. Uwaydah guilty of fraud and unlawful conversion after Dr. Uwaydah transferred approximately $1 million  from Prometheus to his personal accounts in Beirut, before bankrupting Prometheus. Those funds were owed to GE Medical Systems for a CT machine delivered to a company in Saudi Arabia. Prometheus was founded in 2001 in Wilmington, Delaware but was doing business in Plymouth Meeting, PA, a suburb near Philadelphia, PA.

After bankrupting Prometheus Health Imaging, Dr. Uwaydah acquired another CT machine and started a new company in April 2002 named Oracle Preventative Health, also located in Plymouth Meeting, PA, and was reportedly performing 35 – 40 CT examinations per week by August, 2002.

In order to prepare for her next court hearing in mid-June 2008, Jeannie obtained assistance from her friends and an experienced Notary and had a new set of forms prepared for her next hearing. She became convinced that she may never succeed in getting Dr. Uwaydah served with court papers, and she remained concerned that Dr. Uwaydah would carry out his threats to take her son to Beirut.

After studying the documents obtained by her friends and private investigators documenting the judgments, liens and lawsuits against Dr. Uwaydah, she was convinced that Dr. Uwaydah would never voluntarily pay child support for his son, whether ordered by the court, or not.

She made the decision to remove Dr. Uwaydah’s parental rights, and to file a restraining order against him, with a requirement that he forfeit a $1 million bond if he ever tried to contact her or their son again. She also made the decision to change her son’s name so she would never have to hear the name Munir Uwaydah ever again.

During the conversations that Jeannie and Helga Heinenbach were having, they both thought that it would be important to be in communication with Kadri Uwaydah so that all their children could be raised knowing that they had half brothers and sisters so they could have communication with each other as they grew older. Neither one had any knowledge how to contact Kadri Uwaydah, so they investigated further and found a way to communicate with Kadri, through the Internet.

When Jeannie appeared in court for her next hearing, she was instructed by the Judge to get Dr. Uwaydah served so he could be represented in the following hearing. With the previous experiences of nothing but frustration in getting Uwaydah served in person, and limited funds to publish a legal notice in the LA Times, the decision was made to prepare an Affidavit of Truth that could be provided to the court documenting the actions of Dr. Uwaydah, and it was served on Dr. Uwaydah through the Estonian Media, that delivered it to Kadri’s mother in Estonia, who in turn delivered it to her daughter Kadri in Lebanon, who in turn confronted her husband with it while serving it upon him.

Immediately following that hearing in mid-June, 2008, Jeannie learned about the murder of Juliana Redding. At that point she contacted Maria Turley, wife of Paul Turley, Dr. Uwaydah’s business partner and asked her if she knew anything about Juliana Redding’s murder, and if Juliana Redding was still dating Dr. Uwaydah at the time she was murdered.

Maria Turley stated that she had no information to share with Jeannie. And within a few days, several employees of various law firms in Los Angeles and Private Investigators were released on Jeannie. This group of attorneys collectively have become known as Dr. Uwaydah’s legal thugs. The Private Investigators that were hired reported to and were directed by Marisa Schermbeck, Dr. Uwaydah’s business and personal administrator.

About ten days later, a Restraining Order was filed in Santa Monica court against Jeannie, preventing her from speaking with Munir Uwaydah, Maria Turley, Paul Turley, Marisa Schermbeck, and the corrupt Notary that Jeannie had never met that falsified the court papers filed in the Santa Monica court for Dr. Uwaydah to obtain custody of his children with Helga Heinenbach while she was in Germany.

The Private Investigators hired by Marisa Schermbeck were harassing Jeannie’s family, out of state, trying to locate Jeannie to serve her papers on the Santa Monica Restraining Order. This Restraining Order included provisions that required Jeannie to turn in all her firearms, which she did not possess. It is unclear whether or not the Santa Monica court considered Jeannie’s cell phone to be a deadly weapon that needed to be turned in to the authorities.

Some of the legal thugs participated in some form of illegal wire tapping of Jeannie’s therapist's phone in Los Angeles while Jeannie called the therapist and spent an hour with her on the phone. By the end of that business day, the therapist was contacted by these legal thugs who left intimidating threats against the therapist if she continued her counseling of Jeannie. The therapist was also told that she could not disclose that Dr. Uwaydah had participated with Jeannie in her therapy sessions. Those messages were left on digital answering machines and were provided with a complaint to the Santa Monica Police Department.

The newspaper in the capital of Estonia was also contacted by the legal thugs and threatened with litigation if they ever published any information about Dr. Uwaydah’s involvement with Jeannie and Helga Heinenbach, as documented in Jeannie’s Affidavit of Truth.

The harassment by the legal thugs continued through the month of July 2008, and a last-ditch effort was made to find a private process server to serve Dr. Uwaydah with the court papers before the next hearing, as directed by the Judge.

Jeannie located a woman familiar with Marina Del Rey that agreed to locate and serve Dr. Munir Uwaydah. Her first stop was Frontline Medical where she was turned away. Her next stop at one of the properties owned by Dr. Uwaydah found him at home. After being turned away by Helga Heinenbach, she waited until Dr. Uwaydah, Helga, and their twins tried to leave the home and run away down the beach, where she confronted and served Dr. Uwaydah with the court documents.

One of Dr. Uwaydah’s attorneys, known to Jeannie, was contacted and agreed to negotiate an agreement between Jeannie and Dr. Uwaydah. Dr. Uwaydah has given up all his parental rights concerning his son Munir Uwaydah, whose name has been changed. He is not obligated to pay child support. Jeannie has full legal and physical custody of her son, and there is a bilateral restraining order preventing interference by either party against the other party.

Dr. Uwaydah took flight in late June 2010 to avoid potential prosecution for his connection with the alleged murderer of Juliana Redding, and his possible involvement in the murder. It has been reported that Uwaydah is back in Lebanon with his mother, his wife Kadri Uwaydah, and their three children.

Helga Heinenbach and Dr. Munir Uwaydah were evicted from their residence in Marina Del Rey in April 2010, by Paul Turley, the new owner of that property. It is not known where Helga Heinenbach is living now that Dr. Uwaydah has abandoned her and his twins with Helga, who are now four years old.

Jeannie remains in hiding and her family continues to be harassed (ostensibly by the Uwaydah-funded Los Angeles legal thugs and the Private Investigators working for Marissa Schermbeck who continue to keep their home under surveillance), apparently for the purpose of locating Jeannie, for reasons that are not clear. Is Jeannie the next target for Kelly Soo Park, Dr. Uwaydah’s female James Bond?

The California Medical Board has had its hearing on the Physician’s and Surgeon’s license held by Dr. Uwaydah, in his absence. In an opinion dated September 3, 2010 effective October 1, 2010, Dr Uwaydah’s License has not been revoked. Dr. Uwaydah has been placed on probation for a period of two years, and must comply with certain conditions of his probation.

The medical malpractice suits against Dr. Uwaydah, alleged fraudulent real estate and patent transactions, alleged Workers’ Compensation fraud, alleged insurance fraud, are still under investigation by a number of private and governmental agencies, and the investigation into the murder of Juliana Redding continues by the Santa Monica Police Department.
