Kelly Soo Park, Alleged Murderer Of Aspiring Actress, Girlfriend Of Dr. Munir Uwaydah, Juliana Redding, Released On Bail
By Lonce LaMon - November 2, 2010

Kelly Soo Park, the alleged murderer of aspiring young 21-year-old actress and model Juliana Redding, was released on bail yesterday in a proceeding that took place at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse in Division 144, the court room of Judge Keith Schwartz.

Collateral satisfying a bonds company covering a 3.5 million dollar bail was put up by Kelly Soo Park’s friends and family, one of whom was a former university professor and another a financial manager.

Defense attorney Kay Raucaukis has had to fight hard these past four months since Park’s arrest to prove the assets put up for her bail are not from illegal activities.  But a court filing now shows that family and friends put up their own assets to bail her out.

It is clear that Kelly Soo Park has an abundance of family members and friends who love her and believe in her innocence.  Back at the end of September, I observed as I sat in the courtroom, Kelly turn around from where she sat at the defense table to the right of her attorney and mouth, “I love you,” to a mature woman seated two rows in front of me in the court audience seats.  I have also received vitriolic hate mail from Kelly Soo Park supporters who are passionate in their belief in her innocence.

A pleading letter from the parents of Juliana Redding, Greg and Patricia Redding, was read aloud before the court by the prosecutor.   After a long and deafening silence, they finally spoke out.  Their letter pleaded with the court not to release Kelly Soo Park on bail.   They expressed that it is evident that Park will flea the country if she is released on bail.  They reminded the court of how, immediately after Park’s arrest, Kelly’s sister assured her by telling her in a telephone conversation to her in the jail that she was not to worry, as Munir Uwaydah, her boss, was working on getting her out.

Kelly Soo Park was a key employee to Dr. Munir Uwaydah, and is believed to have been his dedicated partner in his devotion to workers’ compensation fraud.  Uwaydah has made a fortune off of charging workers’ compensation carriers, self-insureds, and third-party-administrators for compounded drugs, which are a type of medication that falls outside of the fee schedule.  Uwaydah, and others like him, have taken advantage of the workers’ comp system by exploiting this type of drug which comes in a cream or topical to be absorbed through the skin. There is no fee schedule for it in the work comp system, as yet.  Henceforth, he and others like him can charge insurers from $200 to $2,000 for a jar of cream.

Dr. Munir Uwaydah’s other frauds, both related and not related to workers’ comp, are more numerous, metaphorically speaking, than the grains of sand on the shore and are too much to recite in this article.  His conflagrations abound.  He is criticized vociferously in the industry even by, so called “legal and medical whores”.   It is universally acknowledged that he performs unnecessary surgeries.

It is speculated that Munir Uwaydah sent Kelly Soo Park to Juliana Redding’s apartment on the afternoon or night of March 15th 2008.  There is concrete evidence that Uwaydah paid Park and her relatives large sums of money both before and after the murder in increments in the low six figures.  Uwaydah was the only link between Park and Juliana Redding.  It is speculated that Juliana Redding knew something substantial about Uwaydah’s frauds which Uwaydah found very threatening.  The pharmacy business deal between Greg Redding and Uwaydah fell apart just days before Juliana Redding’s murder.

A tipster, who will not be named, called me yesterday in the late afternoon to advise me that a tipster had called him/her to state that Kelly Soo Park will be leaving the country via a freighter out of Long Beach.  The informant who advised the informant said that people can get out of the country through these underground methods without a passport by paying a substantial amount to the proper thugs.  He/she asked me to advise the FBI.  But, I don’t know anybody with the FBI.  So, I advised somebody who may know somebody with relations to the FBI.  But, I was told the FBI isn’t interested.  Don’t know if that’s true, but… we’ll have to see…

The Trial of Kelly Soo Park is scheduled to start next year.  Time will tell if she sticks around for it.  The informant stated that Kelly Soo Park is not her given name, and that she will be escaping to Korea or Japan, and can revert to her birth name or some other name once she gets to the Orient.

With all this speculation and rumor, we’ll just have to see what happens… I’m taking votes now.  Will she skip?  Or will she stay for trial?   Send in your vote to my email, below.
