| | Treating Work Comp Doctor Now On The Lam. Munir Uwaydah, M.D., Connected To 2008 Murder Of Juliana Redding By Lonce LaMon - June 30, 2010
Munir Uwaydah, M.D., a Southern California based orthopedic surgeon with a workers' compensation practice, got out of the country by Monday, June 28th, and is presently on the lam after being connected by Police to the 2008 murder of Juliana Redding in her Santa Monica, California, apartment.
Investigators have found suspicious financial links to Dr. Uwaydah and the lead suspect in the murder.
Records show that an employee of Munir Uwaydah's, Kelly Soo Park, was paid over $300,000 before and after Redding was found dead in her apartment. Park was receiving a monthly salary of $10,000 and in addition she received two $300,000+ lump sums.
Juliana Redding was an aspiring actress and her father apparently had a troubled business relationship with Dr. Uwaydah. Park and her roommate have both been arrested on murder charges.
Munir Uwaydah graduated from Medical School at the American University of Beirut. He seems to have performed his surgery practice in many Southern California locations, such as San Fernando, Long Beach, Redondo Beach, Anaheim, and Los Angeles. He was associated with Frontline Medical Associates. He is Lebanese and in his mid-40s.
He has been a regular treating doctor for workers' compensation claimants recently, and is an approved treating doctor in the networks of some insurance carriers, Third-Party Administrators, and self-insured employers.
