| | Forensic Expert Witness Association By Barry Zalma, Esq. - May 5, 2006Ms. Joey Tamer, spoke at the last meeting of the Forensic Expert Witness Association, Los Angeles Chapter and explained, in detail, the hidden secrets to successful consulting are-Excellence, Diligence and Integrity.
She advised the experts, that the hidden killers of consulting companies and expert witnesses are-Doubt, Debt and Bad Clients.
Ms. Tamer provided those attending with a tip from her own practice, all consultants and experts should consider-every year, at the end of the year, go through your calendar from January 1st and remember what happened each week, each month.
You’ll find that client that you fired; the prospect you spent too much time on and who never signed; that completely unexpected gig from a referral source you never considered. And how long it took to finish a contract that should have been simple. And in the course of all this, pay attention – why did things happen this way?
What did you learn about referrals, about high maintenance clients, about the true finish date of a project. Every year you will learn at least one new thing. Write it down. Remember it.
